THERAPIST

Julia Shelzi, LCSW

Office: Brooklyn/Telehealth | Pronouns: She/Her

Hi! My name is Julia Shelzi, and I’m a licensed therapist with a Master's degree in Social Work from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. My approach is rooted in creating a compassionate and safe space where the courageous work of acknowledging and transforming old patterns can unfold. I believe that this process is essential to healing and achieving a deeper sense of self-actualization.

Throughout my clinical career, I have had the privilege of working with both children and adults, helping them navigate the complexities of trauma, depression, relational challenges, and life transitions. My expertise, however, extends beyond these areas to support individuals from all walks of life in overcoming various personal struggles and finding clarity.

I work collaboratively with clients to uncover the underlying issues that may be limiting their growth, build resilience, and foster a greater sense of fulfillment. In my practice, I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help individuals better understand and integrate the various parts of themselves, promoting self-awareness and healing. I also incorporate somatic healing and mindfulness techniques to address the mind-body connection, helping clients release stored tension and trauma that may be affecting their well-being.

Ultimately, my goal is to guide each person toward a more balanced, empowered, and authentic life.
