Hi! My name is Julia Shelzi, and I’m a licensed therapist with a Master's degree in Social Work from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. My approach is rooted in creating a compassionate and safe space where the courageous work of acknowledging and transforming old patterns can unfold. I believe that this process is essential to healing and achieving a deeper sense of self-actualization.
With a deep commitment to fostering growth and transformation, I create a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients can courageously explore and break free from limiting patterns. I have seen with countless clients that true healing begins with self-awareness, and my work is dedicated to helping individuals step into their fullest potential.
Throughout nearly a decade of clinical experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and adults, guiding them through the challenges of trauma, depression, relational struggles, and life transitions. My expertise extends beyond these areas, supporting individuals from all walks of life in navigating personal challenges, building resilience, and finding clarity.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and dynamic, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients connect with and understand the different parts of themselves. I also incorporate somatic healing and mindfulness techniques to address the mind-body connection, releasing stored tension and trauma that may be impacting overall well-being.
At the core of my practice is a deep belief in each individual’s capacity for transformation. My goal is to empower clients to cultivate a stronger sense of self, embrace their authenticity, and lead more fulfilling, balanced lives.
